This game was developed in only 48h during the Global Game Jam 2016 at Politecnico University of Milan, with the theme: "Ritual"
Obsession is a structured narrative 2D Platform. In this game the player controls Matt, a man who suffers from obsessive compulsive disorder. Like others with the same problem he performs mental and physical rituals to get over his fear and anxiety. We reinterpreted this ritual as a trip inside his mind structured as a 2D platformer in which each Matt's obsession is a different level and impacts on the level design, visuals and controls challenging the player to complete it before the anxiety overcome it.
Fun Fact: we conied the word "Platzle" which clearly means "Platform Puzzle".
